Features

1) Lightweight

Optrel Crystal 2.0 is exceptionally portable, compact, and lightweight. It is a perfect working tool for long welding sessions. It is also ideal for welding applications or tasks that require multiple movements from one place to another, and it doesn’t cause common helmet-induced neck strains. It weighs just about 460g.

2) Crystal Lens Technology 2.0

Optrel Crystal Lens Technology 2.0 is the game-changing feature of this helmet. Crystal Lens Technology 2.0 reduces the traditional lime green spectrum of most auto-darkening helmets and incorporates a multiple color spectrum. This innovative lens technology offers a real color vision that gives a full and clear view of the welding task and environment. It provides the welder with a near-natural view of the welding process in its light state, and a detail-oriented, high-contrast look in any selected dark shade. In simple terms: with Optrel Crystal Lens Technology 2.0, you won’t believe your eyes.

3) Auto-darkening Filter

It comes with a high-sensitive auto-darkening filter with three independent arc sensors that switch from light to dark within 0.100 ms when the arc is struck. The auto-darkening filter combines with the Crystal 2.0 Lens to protect the welder’s eyes and skin from bright visible light and UV/IR radiations. It also has a continuous sensitivity adjustment feature that reduces the arc sensor sensitivity to ambient light. This sensitivity adjustment feature allows the welder to work under bright sunlight and multiple welding areas. The auto-darkening filter switches back from dark to view within 0.1-2.0 seconds, depending on the welder’s personal preference. The switch-back time (delay) time is fully adjustable.

4) Autopilot Shade Level 4-12

It has a wide range of dark shades for different welding processes (DIN 4-12). It is inactive at shade level 2.0 and works from shade level 4 to 12. It has an autopilot shade feature that automatically selects the most suitable dark shade for any welding task or environment. It also has a calibration control knob for customizing the auto-selected shade level. The control knob allows the welder to calibrate the auto-selected shade level within -2 and +2.

5) External Controls

This Auto-darkening Helmet has no internal control knobs or modules. It is a full-external control auto-darkening helmet. These external controls allow the welder to customize the helmet at any time without taking it off—saving time and energy for more productive work. The external control functions enable the welder to switch between grind and weld modes quickly and select a preferred delay time, adjust light sensitivity, and calibrate the auto-selected dark shade without removing the welding helmet.

6) Twilight Function

Optrel Crystal 2.0 Helmet has a twilight function that controls the shade switching pattern from dark to light. The twilight function switches gradually from darkness to light in the natural sequence and prevents tiring eye strains during the welding session.

7) Pivotal Headgear

This helmet is designed for optimum comfort during welding. It features a comfortable headband that is quick and easy to adjust. It also has an innovative Patented Exciter that stabilizes the helmet when it is in the open position and provides excellent balance and comfort to the welder with little or no neck strains.

8) Power Supply

It works with two solar-rechargeable and replaceable lithium-ion batteries (CR-2032). It comes with high-performing solar cells that improve the overall battery performance of the helmet for many years.

9) Hard Hat Adapter

It comes with a hard hat adapter that allows the welder to use a hard hat when wearing the welding helmet. Hard hats provide the welder and the welding helmet with head injuries and damages, respectively.

10) Integrated Particle Filter (Class TH3)

It comes with an Integrated Particle Filter of the highest safety class (TH3) to protect the welder from aerosols, dust, and smoke from the welding environment. The Integrated Particle Filter is fitted with a mountain breeze odor filter that protects the welder from irritating awkward odours.
